Amyloidosis Ireland
Amyloidosis Ireland is a 32-county volunteer support group for patients and their families affected by Amyloidosis – a rare and serious condition that occurs when an abnormal protein builds up in the body, damaging organs and tissues. It can be hereditary or non-hereditary. T60/80A hereditary amyloidosis is the most prevalent in Ireland and originates in North West Donegal. A previously fatal disease for which there are now treatments.
