Martin has been a Prostate Cancer patient advocate since his own diagnosis in 2015. Co-Chief Investigator on Cancer Trials Ireland's important PRO-ACT study (publication Q1-26) into sexual wellbeing and mental health impacts of prostate cancer therapy on men, and partners of men, in Ireland. PPI member with NCCP; Cancer Trials Ireland; ARC Cancer Support Services; Mater Hospital; Movember; Marie Keating Foundation; Irish Cancer Society; IPCOR research project, and more. Co-Founder and Secretary of United Cancer Advocacy Network (UCAN) in April 2025. Passionate about PPI, and addressing the unmet needs of cancer patients and their loved ones.
