Martin McCormack is Chief Executive Officer of the College of Anaesthesiologists of Ireland and Chair of the Strategy Implementation Executive of the Forum of Irish Postgraduate Medical Training Bodies.

He sits on the HSE Board Strategy and Reform Committee and the Audit and Risk Committee of the Royal Irish Academy. He has served in advisory roles to the Department of Health, the HSE, the Medical Council of Ireland, and the Irish Platform for Patient Organisations, Science and Industry.

With a background in corporate governance and digital transformation, Martin collaborates with a global network of government ministries, diplomatic missions and healthcare providers worldwide to advance patient safety through medical education and strategic workforce planning.

He is a Chartered Director, a Fellow of both the Royal Academy of Medicine in Ireland and the Irish Computer Society, and an Adjunct Professor at Trinity College Dublin. He is currently pursuing doctoral research on strategy execution and system transformation in health systems.
