Susan is the CEO of HealthTech Ireland and a seasoned healthcare business consultant with over 25 years of experience delivering impact across the Irish and international healthcare landscape. Her leadership blends strategic insight with a collaborative ethos, having worked extensively with the HSE, medtech industry, and public sector to drive transformation in areas such as digital health, sustainability, procurement, and innovation.

Under her leadership, Susan has delivered landmark initiatives, including Ireland’s first joint public-private Centre of Excellence for sustainable procurement pathways. She represents over 130 start-ups, SMEs, and global medtech organisations, regularly engaging policymakers and senior decision-makers — from Members of the Oireachtas to national C-suite roundtables.

Susan plays an active role in shaping healthcare policy and innovation agendas. She is a member of the HIQA HTA advisory group, represents Irish members on both the National Association Council of MedTech Europe and the Global Medical Technology Alliance, and is a trusted voice in national media and sector publications. Her thought leadership appears in The Business Post, Irish Independent, Irish Times, SMART Health, and Pulse+IT, where she authors a regular column.

A recognised national speaker, Susan frequently addresses key healthcare themes — leadership, transformation, AI, public-private collaboration, and building sustainable systems — at major health conferences and forums.

Beyond her executive role, Susan has consulted widely since 2016, helping organisations redefine their strategic direction, grow market access, and navigate funding opportunities.

Her board contributions include strategic submissions such as Horizon Europe. Her contributions have been recognised with industry accolades, including Health Technology CEO of the Year 2023 (CEO Monthly) and double shortlisting in the 2024 Irish Times Association & Institute Awards for Best Association and Overall Best CEO.

A passionate advocate for equity and resilience in health innovation, Susan is also a champion for women in STEM. She has served on the executive of Women in Technology and Science Ireland (WITS), advised on policy, judged national awards, and continues to mentor and support future leaders in the sector.
