HPRA
Donal is the Clinical Manager for Medical Devices at the HPRA, overseeing the HPRA representation at various European Commission subgroups and task forces related to clinical evidence and clinical investigations for new devices. Donal co-chairs the European Commission MDCG task force on Orphan medical devices, which works to promote availability in the EU of therapeutic and diagnostic devices for rare diseases and conditions. Prior to this, Donal worked in clinical trial assessment and regulated medicines and vaccines with the HPRA and EMA.
Before joining the HPRA, he trained in General Surgery and is a fellow of the European Board of Surgery and an adjunct lecturer in Trinity College Dublin.
