
Dr Rosa McNamara is a Consultant in Emergency Medicine at St Vincent’s University Hospital in Dublin and Clinical Lead for the National Clinical Programme for Emergency Medicine in Ireland. With specialist interests in geriatric emergency medicine, clinical research, and medical education, Rosa is committed to advancing patient-centred, evidence-based care across emergency settings.
She holds master’s degrees in Gerontology from King’s College London and in Medical Education from the University of Dundee, and is currently completing an Executive MBA at Smurfit Business School, University College Dublin.
Internationally, Rosa serves as Chair of the Geriatric Emergency Medicine Special Interest Group for the International Federation for Emergency Medicine (IFEM), is a member of the European Society for Emergency Medicine (EUSEM) Section for Geriatric Emergency Medicine, and contributes to the Emergency Medicine Examination Reference Group for Europe (EMERGE).
In her academic role as Associate Clinical Professor at University College Dublin, she plays an active role in mentoring the next generation of clinicians while continuing to influence national and international policy and practice in emergency care for older adults.
