Georgina Cruise is the National Manager of the Patient Advocacy Service. Established in 2019, the Service supports people who want to make a formal complaint about the care they have experienced in a Public Acute Hospital or Nursing Home and in the aftermath of a patient safety incident. Georgina is responsible for the continued growth and development of the Patient Advocacy Service, enhancing patients and nursing home residents’ rights to safe and effective care.

Georgina has over 21 years’ experience of working to uphold citizens’ rights and entitlements through Advocacy and influencing social policy development.

With qualifications in Advocacy Practice Provision, Patient Safety Complaints Advocacy and Human Resources, Georgina has a keen interest in healthcare quality improvement, person centred care and the empowerment and support of people using public services.
