David O'Regan is an AI consultant from Wicklow who has seen first hand the effect a diagnosis of a rare and chronic illness can have. His wife Ciara was diagnosed with vasculitis in 2021 after years of consultant visits and confusing symptoms, and driven by this experience she set up Before My Visit. This website offers free resources to help others going through a similar journey to track symptoms, list their medication, map out their family's medical history, and prepare effectively for their medical appointments.

Now David and Ciara, both passionate patient advocates, are turning Before My Visit into an AI powered mobile app that will take this concept even further and create a way for patients, especially those with rare and/or chronic conditions to easily manage and track symptoms, medications, diagnoses, appointment visits and more. Patients will also be able to ask direct questions about their own medical data - no more forgetting important details when your doctor asks.
