The Irish Heart Foundation, the national stroke and heart charity, has been here for 60 years.
Here to lead the charge to protect the cardiovascular health of everyone in Ireland. Here, to eliminate preventable death or disability. Here to collaborate. Here, not just as one of Ireland’s most trusted and effective charities, but to build a lifesaving movement across the country.
We are here regardless of age, background or means. Here for every community, every school, and every workplace.
Here for every heartbeat.
Our mission is to eliminate preventable death and disability from heart disease and stroke, and to support and care for those living with these life-changing conditions.
The Foundation undertakes life-saving and life-changing work by innovating and leading in health promotion and heart disease and stroke prevention, building a nation of lifesavers through CPR training, campaigning and advocating for patients, and speaking out and caring for people living with heart disease and stroke.
Some examples of the Foundation’s work include the Act F.A.S.T signs of stroke campaign, our Mobile Health Unit providing free heart health checks across the country, our free CPR 4 Schools programme teaching pupils how to react in an emergency and our Nurse Support Line.
