Miriam Staunton is the Chair and Co Founder of UCAN Ireland. A stage IV melanoma survivor, her own experience of being unable to access EMA approved treatments in Ireland drives her commitment to reforming systemic barriers in cancer care. An engineer by training, Miriam has worked full time in cancer advocacy since 2021, championing timely access to innovation and a stronger patient voice in national decision making.
