Dr Elaine Toomey is a Lecturer in Evidence-Based Healthcare and founding Programme Director of the MSc in Evidence-Based Future Healthcare at the University of Galway.

Elaine is a behavioural and implementation scientist, and her research focuses on the implementation of research into public health policy and practice, particularly in relation to chronic disease management and prevention.

A physiotherapist by background, she is passionate about working with patients and the public to ensure that health research achieves the greatest possible impact for them.
