Migraine Ireland is an informational support and patient advocacy organisation. It strives to support individuals living with headache disorders and their loved ones. It does this through providing information and education on the condition, for both those who live with and for healthcare professionals, and through a variety of support measures including self-empowerment courses, public awareness talks and an information line.
Migraine Ireland recognises many issues that individuals living with Ireland may face, including (but not limited to) pain, disability, stigma, misunderstanding, misinformation, discrimination, invisible suffering, social isolation, and an underserviced, fragmented and regionally differing healthcare landscape with a myriad of accessibility issues.
Many people living with migraine and/or other headache conditions suffer in silence, despite being one of the most common conditions. Migraine Ireland seeks to shine a light on this condition, and its implications, which too often act as a barrier to people accessing the care they need.
