Amy Nolan is Chief Executive Officer of ARC Cancer Support Centres in Ireland, bringing more than 20 years of experience in cancer nursing, clinical leadership, cancer services, policy and advocacy to the role.

Amy leads ARC in its mission to support people affected by cancer and those who care for them, ensuring that they can access compassionate, professional and practical support at a time when they need it most. Across its three Cancer Support Centres in Dublin, and through its wider services and outreach, ARC provides free psychological, emotional, educational and practical support. Its services include professional counselling, support groups, wellbeing and resilience programmes, information and education, complementary therapies, talks and supports for families and loved ones.

Amy’s leadership of ARC is guided by a deep commitment to ensuring that no one has to navigate the impact of a cancer diagnosis alone. She is passionate about the important role that community-based cancer support plays alongside clinical care, providing people and families with a safe and supportive space in which they can access help, build resilience and feel understood throughout and beyond their cancer experience.

Prior to joining ARC, Amy was Director of Clinical Affairs and a member of the Executive Leadership Team at the Irish Cancer Society, where she provided strategic leadership across national cancer policy, patient services, education and research, while leading key clinical, healthcare, hospital and university partnerships.

At the Irish Cancer Society, she led the development and implementation of a National Children, Adolescents and Young Adults (CAYA) Strategy and provided executive leadership for the Society’s nationwide Night Nursing service, supporting the delivery of home-based end-of-life care through a team of approximately 180 dedicated Night Nurses. Amy’s professional foundation is in cancer nursing, with extensive experience across oncology, haematology, palliative care, cancer clinical trials and cancer genetic testing.

Amy is a Fellow of the Faculty of Nursing & Midwifery at the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland and holds a First-Class Master’s degree in Clinical Leadership from University College Dublin. Her Board and professional leadership roles include serving as a Board Member of the Faculty of Nursing & Midwifery at RCSI Ireland, and a National Executive Member of the Leinster Branch of the Irish Association of Nurses in Oncology. She is also a member of the Institute of Directors in Ireland and is registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland.
